I consider myself an important role model for the students that I teach. This is an email from the superintendent of Bondurant- Farrar School District. After being asked to speak in front of the school board about our new reading series, I received this thoughtful email from my superintendent. This email is a reflection of my display of respect and understanding of all learners and staff members. Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better) This email means a lot to me as a teacher. As a second year teacher, I was very nervous and also proud to speak in front of the school board. I was asked by our Reading Specialist teacher to discuss our new reading Journeys curriculum including resources we use, items we like from it, and items we are still improving. I received this email the following day from our superintendent after my speech. I was so overwhelmed with joy because it means a lot to me that our superintendent took the time to sit down and write an encouraging email to me. It is nice to know that your hard work and respect for my staff and students did not go unnoticed. I am going to continue to work hard and improve my teaching skills through professional development and experiences. I work with great teachers and administers that are motivating me to become better.
