constituent, and ask them to sign the “Dear Colleague” letter from Rep.
McGovern’s office to fully fund the upcoming child nutrition reauthorization bill.

Want to know more? In order to end child hunger in the U.S. by 2015, existing
child nutrition programs like school meals, summer meals, WIC, and after-school
snacks must receive more federal funding. President Obama has proposed an
extra $1 billion per year over ten years to expand these crucial programs, but so
far Congress has met less than half of his request.

We need your help to tell Congress not to “walk away” from the amount the
President has put on the table. By signing this letter, your representative will be
sending a message asking the House leadership to find the money to end child
hunger in Texas!
