__X__ growth in this standard _____ strength and competency in this standard Evidence to support attainment of this standard: Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard: In each content area it is so important to use appropriate strategies to deliver instruction that meets the needs of all students. I make sure to do this by aligning classroom instruction with local standards and district curriculum. Within each lesson of our district adopted curriculum of Journeys, students complete specific lessons to help master the target comprehension strategy. Students complete several different activities in whole group and small group to practice this skill. Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better) This artifact is a daily lesson plan including learning goals, curriculum standards, learning objectives, materials, procedure, and reflection. This lesson includes students completing their Readers Guide from the reading lesson for the week. This is an activity that students complete weekly to help practice our comprehension skill for the week. It is a great activity that is aligned with standards and learning objectives. Along with this activity, Journeys provides other hand-on resources and activities to help enhance student learning through different strategies. I incorporate these different strategies into my planning because all my students learn differently.
