Young teens are the target audience for an educational animation about antibiotic resistance. Research was conducted on popular video game culture and 2D platforming games, as that genre is familiar to young teens. The animation will be visually appealing to help visual and low-ability learners understand antibiotic resistance through a familiar and easier format.

For my Target Audience of young teens between the age of 11 14 I would like to produce an educational animation presenting how bacteria can become resistant to antibiotics. I decided to research popular media, specifically the video game culture and the genre of 2D platforming games. I chose this means of design because it is a familiar format of games that young teens know, which can also be expanded to a wider audience. I want to make this animation visually appealing as many young students learn better through visual means and it can also help low ability students understand the process of resistant to antibiotics in a way that will be easier for them to learn.
