ABSTRACT
In todays increasingly competitive financial world, risks are
becoming unavoidable face of banking life especially with the
growing body of banking activities and the reliance on technology.
The effect of these risks varies from one bank to another .Since
exposure to credit risk continue to be the leading source of problems
in banks supervisors should evaluate ,identify, analyse and then
effectively manage different sources of these risks. The effective
management of credit risks is critical component of a
comprehensive approach to risk management and essential to the
long -term success of any bank.
This paper aims to describe risks that banking institutions are still
facing and how to manage the credit risk effectively.
