Minutes of the YAMA Meeting, April 13, 2010

Guest: Stuart Howell, Yankton County Jail Administrator

Treasurer’s Report MSU

New Business:
1. Youth Olympics Last Wednesday in May (5/26/2010) @ Riverside Park, 5:30 – 8:30pm; 10 events
planned.
2. A Jail Ministry meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 15th at 2:30pm; Stuart Howell briefed everyone
on the latest status of the Jail ministry, and thanks for the books provided by YAMA.
3. Baccalaurette Service being planned by YHS Senior Class officers; Pr. Dean Trapp to give the opening
and closing.
4. Pr. Ron Johnson to be the new pastor at Yankton 1st Umc; coming from Canton, SD.

Old Business:
1. NDP Prayer Breakfast scheduled for 6:30am, May 6th @ Calvary Baptist Church, “reservation”
ticketsmay be acquired from Loretta Sorenson, or Calvary Baptist. No admission charge, but a free-will
offering will be received. Call Calvary by noon May 3rd with number of tickets distributed.
2. Announcement repeated concerning need to fill YAMA President and V.P. vacancies after the May
meeting.

Reminder: P&D Clergy Column submissions need to be in to the P&D by the Wednesday before the Friday

Note: Due to Pr. Dave Gunderson being unavailable at the April meeting, everyone is encouraged to lift up
Dave and his N.G. unit in prayer as they prepare to deploy on assignment.
