EXPLAIN:
Inthisexperiment,Iplantedfourcilantroplantswithdifferent
variables.Thegoaltothisexperimentwastoseewhichvariable
wouldmakecilantrogrowthefastest.
Iobservedthattheplantwithaspirinhadnogrowththroughoutthe
entirelab.Thecoffeegroundplantdefinitelygrewthefastest,
followedbythecontrolplant,whichjustsproutedalittlelater.I
predictedthattheclubsodaplantwouldgrowthefastest,butmy
hypothesiswaswrong.
Ilearnedthatifyouwantaplantthatwillgrowquicklyyoushould
putcoffeegroundsinyourplant.Ifyoudonotwantyourcilantroto
bekilleddonotaddaspirin.
Overall,Ithinkitwasafairtest.Theonlythingthatmayhave
impactedtheaccuracyofmyresultswaswhenmyplantgotmoved
fromtheclassroomintothelabroom.Atonepoint,Ialsoswitched
myliquidmeasurementsfrom10mlto5ml.
WhatelsecouldIhaveaddedtomaketheplantsgerminate
quicker?ShouldIhavewateredtheplantseveryotherdayto
preventoverwatering?
Ananalogoussituationthatcanapplytoreallifeismedicine.
Medicinescanhelpmakediseases/sicknessesslowdownorbe
gone.Thisislikehowthevariablesinthisexperimenthelpmake
theplantgrowfaster.
