Vision Of An Educator

Classroom Environment:

Upon entering my class, as


an observer you will see a welcoming, nurturing, and visually
simulating classroom which fosters creativity and individualism.
This classroom will encompass a learning environment that says,
Citizenship. Our class motto is Success is Shared. The interior
dcor of my room includes learning concepts, principles, strategies,
and colorful bulletin boards to aid students in various stages of this
class. There will be a student showcase wall to display: student
projects, successes, and efforts. Students will work as individuals
and in groups. Children will be seated at work stations, items
placed neatly in their desks, and backpacks stored in cubby area.
There will also be a shared box of supplies for special projects. The
learning groups/ stations are designed to foster community
engagement, while teaching the students to learn proper
cooperative skills and peer concepts building. This classroom will
also have a comfy library area and creative output station, meeting
the needs of todays student.

productive learning environment maximizing classroom lesson time.)
2. Establishes and maintains routines and procedures. (This aids in
smooth transitions to various learning units of this class.) 3.
Students shall listen to teacher respectfully (This reinforce good
manners, citizenship and cooperative learning).
1. Respect shown to all students and
belongings. (Creates a safe environment, with no external threats.)
2. Exhibits cooperative learning skills and positive conflict
resolution. (Fosters group learning and how to share and work
through issues.) 3. Serves one another as reliable hardworking
citizens of the class. (This builds stronger relationships and holds
each other accountable for actions/ work.)

Teachers Expectations of Self

Teacher/Student:

1. Continuous learning,
and making new discoveries to share. (knowledge is never-ending
and for one to grow, so must their knowledge.) 2. To see each
student as an individual and teach according to their learning style,
using various modalities of instruction. (everyone receives/ retains
information differently and offering numerous ways to teach
enhances the students learning experience.) 3. Conduct myself in a
professional, responsible manner, but never leaving out the magic
and fun of teaching. (Modeling the right attitude and behaviors will
allow myself to be seen as a positive role model, and will also show
students that you can have fun with anything you do.)
1. Nurturing stance when building values
or making corrections, allowing the student to do be their very best
unique self. (Showing compassion towards the differences in others
will allow for trust building, and a sense of security.) 2. Set clear
guidelines, due dates, and what is expected of student. (students do
better and are happier when they know what is expected of them.)
3. Establish and maintain a positive line of communication for both:
parent, student and teacher. (Listening to parents and students will
allow for more perspective in each situation, and will also help to
build a students confidence and relationship with teacher.)
