The meeting started at 10am, headed by Mrs. Vilmerie E. Valdez, the section head. She discussed the topics: a. Hospital Bills of Philhealth Patients b. Package Bill/PINOY EXCESS c. Referrals from ER Mrs. Valdez explained that the MSS office will not attach classification on excess Philhealth instead we encourage watchers/patient to complete their Philhealth requirements but after (5) five days if the certain requirements cannot be completed thats the time that we will make/type classification since there was no other way for them to settle or lessen their accounts. The reason was to avoid double payment to the hospital. Mrs. Valdez mentioned that we must not attach classification to PINOY EXCESS/Package because of the NO BALANCE BILL POLICY the excess of the package is free. I asked Mam Valdez for further clarification since these matters has not been well disseminated to us by the management. Third topic was about referrals from emergency Room. MSS Staff immediately acts on the referrals from ER, and most of the problems Encountered was placement of abandoned patients. To accommodate the problems, the staff coordinated with the concerned agencies like CSWDO and PSWDO to help locate and contact the relatives of the client. The staff follow-ups the client at the ER and depending on the action taken by referring agencies considering that they are also busy doing their other functions as a worker for us to land a solution of the present problem.
