You must register and pay in advance

to reserve your seat in the class. SASI
accepts cash, check and credit cards.
Class size and seating are limited. Classes
that do not register the minimum number
of students may be canceled. If the class
is canceled by the instructor all payments
will be refunded.

Students should wear appropriate

clothing for art classes, or bring an
apron or smock to wear. Some paints
and materials stain and cannot be
removed from clothing. Please bring your
own snacks or lunch, unless noted
otherwise. Canned drinks and water are
available at SASI for .50 cents.

level and age limits for the class. Please
read the class description for a list of
supplies required for the student to bring.
If any materials are provided by the

Saturday April 9 from 10 am to 12 noon.
Cost: FREE. Todd will do an informal talk
about the tools and the process while
demonstrating a landscape painting.
Questions are welcomed. Coffee and
refreshments will be served.

Acrylic Abstract Painting Workshop
Saturday April 2, from 9 am to 12 noon.
Instructor: Marie Lafitte. For ages 14
and up. Cost: FREE
You must Pre-Register for this class
through the Library at 704-739-2371
or at www.mauneylibrary.org. Space
is limited. Beginner/Intermediate Skill
Level. All materials provided. Let go and
get creative with acrylics. You will learn
how to use layers, textures, drips,
pattern, typography and other techniques
to create fun abstract paintings. Don't
forget to bring an apron or smock!

Kidds Mill Bridge by Todd Baxter oil

Landscape painting Workshop Breaking Down the Process

in Oils or Acrylics
Saturday, April 23 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Instructor: Todd Baxter. Cost: SASI
member $50 per person, Non-member
$55 per person. For ages 14 and up.
Beginner/Intermediate Skill Level. Supply
list available at SASI. Todd works in oil
paint, but will teach techniques relatable
to both oil and acrylic. You must register
and pay in advance to reserve your seat.

Painting with Pastels

Saturday April 16, from 10 am to 3 pm.
Instructor: Malia Bryngelson.
Cost: SASI Member $50 per person,

supplies are included. This introductory
class is designed for
people who have
little
or
no
experience
with
pastels, focusing on
experimentation
with surfaces and
basic
techniques,
encouraging artists
to
venture
into
pastels in a positive
