Monsoon Asia has many independent countries today. Many were once part of European
colonial empires, and retain links with these countries

Monsoon climate

Monsoon Asia is a very large continent that is affected by seasonal monsoon winds.
These blow:
-onshore during the northern hemisphere summer, bringing rain.
-offshore during the northern hemisphere winter, bringing very dry conditions.

Homework due Fri:

Use CIA factbook to find the population density of China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan,
Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and NZ. Which 3 have the
highest density? Suggest a reason for this.
Write an essay describing and explaining the distribution patterns of population in
Monsoon Asia. Start by giving a brief overview of Monsoon Asia and then focus on one
or two countries in detail. Use a map to show the patterns you explain.
