To Whom It May Concern:

Performing Arts Centers that organize various musicals, plays and operas dedicate their time to
delivering memorable experiences. And throughout my experiences in music, nothing is more gratifying
than being a part of those memorable experiences. Throughout my time being proactive in music Ive
been involved in a variety of different shows, on and off the stage. Because of being well round in the
theatre, currently studying about the business involved with putting on shows, and being organized with
an outgoing personality, Im looking for an entry-level position in Arts Administration or archive work.
At SUNY Oneonta, Im an active member of Pi Delta Chi Sorority. For the past year, and now recently
re-elected, Im the Philanthropy Chair for the organization. Our philanthropy is Breast Cancer
Awareness and Research. Every year in October, it is up to the discretion of the Philanthropy Chair to
plan and organize Pink Illumination, the organizations annual fundraising event of the year. This event
takes months of preparation, meetings with the school, meetings with the towns for donations, and
managing the schedules of an entire organization.
Im currently a Teachers Assistant for an upper level division Music History (1880-Digital Age) class
at my college, SUNY Oneonta. Ive gained a vast knowledge of music history through my studies and I
have the utmost interest and appreciation for classical music. With my knowledge of music history, I
fully understand the context and storylines of the musicals, operas and plays being performed at
Glimmerglass this summer. Along with being a teachers assistant, Ive given lectures on composers
such as Stravinsky and Dvorak, portraying not only communication skills, but providing information
with clarity.
During the summer of 2015, I was an intern for the Summer Arts Institute, where inner-city performing
arts students continue pursue music into the summer in an intensive music program. During this
internship, I completed the typical tasks of office work, such as making copies for the students and
running errands for the supervisors while also during this internship I got the amazing opportunity to
mandate sectionals of the cello and bass sections of the orchestra. During this internship I realized that
nothing is more gratifying than teaching students music and helping them craft their art.
For any follow-up information Im actively responsive to my email and number provided. Im extremely
enthusiastic to hear back from you. Thank you so much for your consideration and time.
Respectfully yours,
