Running club fitness is a group fitness program for runners of all ages. Participants will develop Muscular Strength by running with legs at a 90 degree angle on the treadmill or track for 30 seconds or 200 meters 75 % of the run. They will develop Muscular Endurance by running with arms at a 45-degree angle for 100 meters or 1 minute of the treadmill, 50% of the run. They will also develop cardiorespiratory endurance.

I. STANDARDS AND UNIT OBJECTIVES A. Cognitive Standard Standard 2: Students demonstrate an understanding of movements concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities Cognitive Objective Participants will understand running by indentifying correct keys for running form on a written test 4 out of 5 times B. Affective Standards Standard 5: Students exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings Standard 6: Students value physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction Affective Objective Participants will cooperatively work with instructor by following club rules, in all running activities, 100% of the time C. Psychomotor Standards Standard 1: Student demonstrate competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities Standard 3: Students participate regularly in physical activity Standard 4: Students achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness 1. Psychomotor Objectives Participants will develop muscular strength by running with legs at a 90 degree angle on the treadmill or track for 30 seconds or 200 meters 75 % of the run.

Psychomotor Objective Participants will develop healthy body composition by showing a good range of healthy weight when getting weighed before workouts, 85% of the time. 5. Psychomotor Objective Participants will develop flexibility by showing a good range of motion of joints when stretching after workout, 80% of the time.
