Applicants must have completed a suitable internship
and be appropriately registered with the Medical and
Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
Preference will be accorded to candidates who will
have gained at least one years postgraduate
experience in a Provincial, General or District
Hospital

Medical & Dental Practitioners Council of
Zimbabwe
Applicants must have completed a suitable

Full employment with MoH & CC or other recognised
employers in the field of Public Health.
First Degree MBChB or equivalent, Biological
Sciences, Social Sciences or any Health Sciences.
Degree Classification of 2.2 OR Better
At least 3 years appropriate work experience in a
health related field post- qualification.
Must have a good BSc Degree in Health Education
and Health Promotion or an approved equivalent
with relevant qualifications and experience in a health
promotion setting.
Degree Classification of 2.2 OR Better
Registered with Allied Health Professions Council
of Zimbabwe.
Must be employed in an appropriate post with actual
health promotion responsibilities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a good first degree (Upper second
or better) in Statistics, Medicine, Health, Social or
Biological Sciences.
Degree Classification of 2.2 OR Better
Applicants must have an advanced level (or equivalent)
pass in Mathematics
Possession of an appropriate honours degree in
one of the following : Medical Microbiology, General Microbiology,
Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, MBChB,
Veterinary Science, or any equivalent recognized
degree.
Possession of an appropriate Honours degree or
equivalent from the University of Zimbabwe or any
other recognized Institution in one of the following
: Medical Laboratory Sciences, MBChB, Veterinary
Sciences, Physiology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry,
and Biological Sciences.
Must have a degree in the following: Medicine, or Nursing, or an Honours degree in
Science, or Applied Science in a health related
discipline from a recognised Institution
Minimum of BSc Honours Degree in Physiotherapy,
with a Degree Classification of 2.2
Registered with the Rehabilitation Council of
Zimbabwe. At least 2 years clinical experience.
Must have a good BSc Nursing Science Degree
OR an equivalent Degree
OR a relevant first Degree with a pass of 2.2 Degree
Classification in a related field plus a General Nurse
qualification.

An applicant with other qualifications may be


considered but will be required to pass a qualifying
examination set by the Department prior to the Senate
deciding on their acceptability for admission.
Must be registered or eligible to register, with the
Nurses Council of Zimbabwe and possess relevant
experience in relation to Speciality area applied for.

Applicants must hold either one of the following


qualifications: - MBChB Degree, BSc Pharmacology
[2.2 or better], B Pharm [Hons 2.2 or better] or the
equivalent of any of the above.

A non-refundable application fee of $50.00 for all Postgraduate Degree or Diploma Programmes for
Zimbabwean residents; OR USD$70.00 for External Applicants must be received in the Institute before
the dispatch of the Application forms.
