--------------------------------------------------------To Whom it may Concern:
I am applying for the position of Performing Arts Instructor. This job interests me as
it combines performing arts and childcare. I enjoy these more than anything else and I
am very excited to be able to combine the two in a working environment.
I think I would fit this job well because of my musical background. I have studied
Royal Conservatory piano since the age of six and I am currently playing at the eighth
grade. However, I dont only practice the piano. I also play the flute and participate in the
Ottawa Youth Orchestra Academys Intermediate Wind Ensemble. Aside from the piano
and flute, I have dabbled in a wide variety of instruments casually and am generally
enthusiastic about music. This makes me a great fit since I am well-rounded in the field
of music while still having a depth of understanding only reached by playing at a high
level. My enthusiasm with music is also useful while helping children with it, as children
respond very well to enthusiasm.
Another reason that I am a perfect fit for this job is my extensive experience and
skill working with children. I have always adored entertaining and instructing children
and my aptitude for it more than matches that adoration. I have spent countless hours
entertaining and caring for children and they have nearly always responded well. For
example, I often spent time entertaining children after school at a local school, which
also lead to experience caring for children formally through babysitting jobs from those
families.
This job opportunity is really exciting to me because of everything it involves. I feel
I have the skills required and many supporting qualities that make me a perfect fit. I
hope we can meet in the future for an interview.
Thank you for your time,
Katie Fortification
