I learned a lot from this video, I learned where theres sex there is variety, and variety has
an advantage. You can stretch a mans tactical tubing and it can stretch for half a mile. A man can
also create one thousand new sperm every second, one hundred million new sperm a day, and
two trillion over a life time. Each sperm is its own DNA. In sperm its quality not quantity that
counts.
The sperm have to travel a 15 inch tube to travels from the tactical to the penis. Releasing
300 million sperm or about a teaspoon. It takes 6 inches or a 2 day swim for the sperm to reach
the egg. Once the sperm finally meets the egg it is difficult for the sperm to go inside the egg.
The egg is covered in a thick layer of super cells covering and protecting the egg. This
protecting layer is called the Zona. The sperm must break the Zona in order to reach the egg
itself. Once the sperm breaks though the zona, it must meet with the outer layer of the cell. It
wont let just any sperm go in. it matches and tests the chemicals of the egg and sperm to see if
they both mach. If they both match, egg will let the sperm go inside. The sperm then sheds its
outer layer (the outer layer is like a shield for the sperm) the inside of the sperm contains the
entire DNA that the egg needs its information to dived. The membrane of the two cells infuse.
Letting the sperm go inside the egg itself.
The Polar Body is where all the chromosomes will take place. Meiosis is when each
chromosome comes together. You have 46 chromosomes. 23 of them come from your dad and
the other 23 comes from your mom. First the two chromosomes make a replica of its self. Then
they cling into the other chromosome, this is where they exchange each others information.
Some of moms DNA information gets transferred to dads chromosome and vis versa. Then they
divide twice. Each time dividing each other open.
On the 6th day, the Zona brakes and The Blast which is the group of chromosomes divided
cells brake though and is now outside the protected cell. This is most dangerous because without
the Zona, moms immune system can catch and think its a foren item and release white blood
cells to destroy it. By The Blast or Zygote releases a chemical to the moms body, it wont
mistake it for a dangerous item but as a welcoming guest instead.
Gastrulation is when the zygote crates two bubbles one on top of the other, the cell
between the two bubbles are cells. These cells form in the middle and are forced its way at the

bottom to create another layer of cells. Then it makes another layer in the middle. In total of 3
layers all together. These 3 layers make up the structure of the soon to be fetus. The bottom layer
of cells makes up the immune system and lungs. The middle layer makes up the heart and
muscles. The top layer makes up the brain and nervous system including the spinal cord.
This is what scientist think happens. They are unable to see because gastrulation happens
in the lining of the mothers uterus, making it unable to photograph. Scientist can see what does
happen in other animal eggs that are clear and you can see development because frog eggs are
clear.
When theres a XX chromosome it is a girl. Then its a XY chromosome its a boy.
Because of all the chemical changes needed for development for the fetus, the mother
may experience an effect, The first trimester (tree months) of pregnancy may be difficult
physically and emotionally for the expectant mother. She may experience nausea, fatigue, and
painful swelling. (Stong)
