10. Students Prior knowledge and Ability:

In the first year classes there will be a wide diversity of mixed abilities. I am aware that each
student brings a different understanding of the evidence about Jesus. Students will have acquired
prior knowledge from Section A of the syllabus and should be able to apply this knowledge
which they have learnt during semester one about the Communities of Christianity and apply it
to the evidence about Jesus. The students will have adequate prior knowledge of the terminology
used from attending mass on a regular basis as this section of the syllabus incorporates the
Gospels and the Evangelists. Additionally some students may be more active with their
Christianity community and have more advanced schemas. Students could also have some prior
knowledge from primary school as they would have participated in religion, however not
learning in as much depth.
