The growth of society as a whole is driven by the interaction between people and

the region. I believe, a region does not have a huge role to play in deciding success
or failure of a person. With ease of access to resources and all the facilities available
at door steps, the success is more dependent on oneself rather than external
factors.
The world is shrinking. Communication technologies have made it possible for
the knowledge and information to reach every corner of the world at click of a
button. Internet is available in some of the most remote areas on earth. One can
order books sitting at home. This means that all are at a level ground. In India, for
example, small villages have the same access to what big metros do. The region
has a lesser effect on what a person can access to reach his goals.
In addition to access to technology, mobility has also become easier. Travel
times have reduced and comfort has increased. One can reach his place to interest
in no time. With continuously improving infrastructure and logistics no region is too
far in modern scenario.
Furthermore, to succeed in life other factors play crucial role as compared to
the region of a person. We have role models like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Hailing from a
very small village, he went on to become the President of India after completing a
successful career as a Scientist. He did it in the time when communication was not
so easy. It proves that if a person has will power, diligence and passion to achieve
the goals, region is an unimportant factor.
Some people might say that if a person belongs to a certain region for example a
metro city, he will have easier access to resources and success will be easier to
achieve. However, success has little to do with region but more to do with what the
individuals do with their time. With enough dedication and readily available support
people from any region can achieve incredible feet.
