Study to assess cell-salvage in obstetrics

We've done it!

Data cleaning

Hot off the press: We

have reached our final
recruitment target for
SALVO!
The
3050th
patient was randomised
by Leicester on 7th April
2016. Well done not
only to them, but all of
you: What a fantastic
achievement you have
managed to make the
single largest cell salvage
trial a success already!

has of course been going on for years, but now

we are stepping it up a notch. There are central
monitoring queries that we can only issue at
intervals, and particularly at the end of the study, so
do expect some additional paperwork over the next
one-and-a-half month. We will aim to get all our
queries to you by
early May, and
would appreciate
to receive your
responses by end
of May. Lets do
our best so this
important study
can achieve the highest possible data quality!

Important: randomisation system

Please note that our SALVO randomisation website will
remain open until 30th April 2016 only. This is to allow
you to randomise any women who may already have
given consent by the time we complete our target. No
randomisation will be possible after this date.

Teleconferences
We are currently still planning to hold two more
teleconferences these might be useful to discuss final
data cleaning and closedown procedures, so do dial in if
you can:
Friday 15th April 2016, 10.00 11.00am
Friday 13th May 2016, 10.00 11.00am

Completing data entry

As e-mailed to all participating sites, we would be
grateful if you could send us all outstanding forms by
Monday 18th April provided clinical data are available
of course. This well help us get queries to you as soon
as possible. Thank you so much in advance for helping
us with this!
