Project Task
1. You and your partner are guests on a Spanish television cooking
show and will be demonstrating how to prepare a traditional
Spanish tapas dish.
2. Your presentation will include the ingredients and equipment
needed as well as an explanation of the cooking steps.
3. You will be graded on both writing and speaking in
Spanish.

Process and strategies:

Begin by researching tapas recipes online.

Pick several recipes that look yummy.
Bring your parents into the conversation so that you dont surprise
them with your grocery list!
Remember: these should not be big portions-- tapas are often bitesized.

Write your recipe in Spanish.


Your recipe must include: Los ingredientes, cosas que se

Part I - The Paper (Your Script):


The paper will be set up in this format and in Spanish:
o Name and Picture of Tapas Food
o Names of Group Members
o Ingredients
o Step by Step directions using the Ud. Form - Commands (this is
your script)

Part II The Project


Option 1 Haz un poster de como preparer el plato
Create a poster or powerpoint with photos of you and your
partner preparing the food step by step - minimum 6 photos
Your group will present your recipe in Spanish to the class.
Each person must have equal speaking parts.
Your presentation must be MEMORIZED and REHEARSED.

Your speaking will be assessed during your presentation to the


class.

Option 2 Haz un video de como preparar el plato


Create a video demonstrating how to prepare your tapas dish.
You may use your written recipe as a guide but MAY NOT READ
from it for the presentation.
Your presentation must be MEMORIZED and REHEARSED!
You each must have equal speaking parts.
Be sure to speak clearly on the video!
The video will be played for the class and your speaking will be
assessed.
BONUS POINTS: Bring in your prepared dish to share with the
class
