neighborhood through VBS. Several ways you can u lize the
resources available are:

Church & Community Ministries

Every year, I hear great stories of how Vaca on Bible School aected
churches and families in the Greater Montgomery Area. Although, there
are many of our churches who do not u lize the evangelis c tool of
Vaca on Bible School. According to Lifeway Research, VBS is one of the
most eec ve ways to reach families in your neighborhood who dont
know Christ. The truth is that there are lost, un-churched kids walking
across your property almost every day. Sure, they are usually a handful.
Sure, their parents might even use the dierent church VBS programs in
your community as childcare, but those kids s ll need the hope that only
Christ can give. I hope that you will consider using Vaca on Bible School
this summer to reach your neighborhood for Christ. I would like to
challenge you to not just have Vaca on Bible School for the kids that a end
your church but reach out to your neighborhood and seek the lost,
confused people who NEED to hear the gospel.

If you are a smaller church, you can usually nd a larger church who will
share their materials with you. Call Jessica at the MBA oce and ask to
be put on a list to share resources this summer. Many of our larger
churches are willing to share their resources.
Did you know there are appointed missionaries here in Montgomery
who could come to your church and help with missions educa on for
VBS? I have a list of local people who are appointed through the North
American Mission Board as well as state missionaries who can come
and share what God is doing right here in the Montgomery area.
If you can
cant do a full week of VBS, we have a Backyard Bible Club version
of Lifeway
Lifeways VBS material that can be borrowed and used as an outreach
in your neighborhood.
