- Bigfoot: world-famous for spooking hikers and hunters in North America. Bigfoot's
-

cousin - the Yeti (aka the Abominable Snowman).

Crop circles: circular patterns of flattened crops, often created in mysterious

circumstances overnight.
Pyramids: As unexplained mysteries go, the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt really are
something special. We still don't really know how the Egyptians built the largest
pyramid of all, known as the Great Pyramid of Cheops, some 5,000 years ago.

Remember, this was even before the invention of the wheel.

The Mayan 2012 Prophecy: According to many New Age believers, the 2012
prophecy states that the world as we know it would end on December 21, 2012 and

yet, we are still here.

Stonehenge: It is one of the greatest unexplained mysteries of the world. It's
certainly no hoax (estimated to be more than 5,000 years old) and is probably the
most important prehistoric monument in the whole of Britain. Huge bluestones from
mountains in Wales were lugged more than 240 miles to the Stonehenge site. Why
would anyone do this in the age before the wheel? And how would they accomplish

such a feat?
The Loch Ness Monster or Nessie: It is claimed to be a prehistoric creature that

inhabits the Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.

The Bermuda Triangle is held responsible for the disappearance of countless
airplanes and boats in the ocean between Florida, San Juan, and Bermuda. Over
the years, there have been a huge number of disappearances that happened in
mysterious circumstances, supposedly falling beyond the possibilities of human
error, equipment failure or natural disasters. Paranormal fans talk of a suspension of

the laws of physics.

SCENARIOS:
1) I am frightened of flying in a plane. My problem is that I have recently won an overseas
holiday in a competition. Everything is paid for and I really want to go but I have a thing
about flying. What advice can you give me?
2) I am afraid of going in lifts in high-rise buildings. My problem is that I have applied for a job
and received a letter saying I have an interview next week on the tenth floor of a building.
What should I do?
