As Mrs. Carpel shows you each film clip, answer the following questions.

2. In the scene between Professor Snape and Harry Potter from Harry Potter
and the Sorcerers Stone, what roles do sound and silence play?

3. Using the Hevner Adjective Circle, assign a letter to the opening music
from Pirates of the Caribbean. Why do you think it feels that way? (Tempo,
dynamics?)

4. Now assign a letter to this scene from the classic movie Gone with the
Wind. How is the music different, and how does that affect the way that you
feel?
