The purpose of Harmony School of innovations Communications Plan is to present a
clear framework for communicating with our school community. The plan addresses two
types of school district audiences: internal (students, teachers, staff, administration and
School Board) and external (parents, businesses, civic groups, faith-based organizations,
and other members of the Harmony School of Innovation community).

There are a couple of guides for the crisis like bad weather condition, fire, Tornado, or
any kind of threat. These Emergency Procedures Guides will help the staff members and
students to handle the situation in secure. For more information please check your email or
see Mr. Derby.
Teachers and office workers will support all the program in the school and plan
everything before the program.
The Public Relations & Marketing Department will manage publications, marketing,
community relations, and offer leadership on all communication services and strategies for
the district under the direct supervision of the Superintendent.

Two driving questions for every program or activity will be:

1- How does this program bring benefits to our students and our staff members?
2- How do we communicate with the public before and after this program?

4- Mobile Application:
Mobile apps are becoming a very popular method for schools to communicate.
A mobile app can make it efficient to access common information like alerts,
calendars, directories, news and lunch menus. While the mobile app is not ready to
replace the website, the website content needs to be accessible through the app.
There are two mobile applications in our school system. These applications are
for parents use. One of them is PARENTMOBILE and the other one is SIMSDATABASE. Parents can be alerted with these applications and also they can see
their children progress, their grades, schedule and tardiness. Parents can
communicate with their childrens teacher by these applications
.

5- The School Website:

A website serves an important purpose for school districts and its schools: to be
a self-service portal for all information for the school. Websites have changed over
the years in how they are designed. As Harmony School of Innovation Fort Worth, we
have a very friendly website. This is the website: www.hsifortworth.org On the top of
the website ,there is a link for the future parents of Harmony School of Innovation
Fort Worth. The future parents can apply for the next school year. They can get more
information about the application procedure. There are a lot of buttons under the
application link for more info. On the right of the website there is a place to login.
Teachers, Administrators, students and parents can use this part to login and see
their progress and to have access to the necessary links. Also all parents and the
others can reach the announcements about the upcoming events. These
announcements are short versions of the actual news. When the people click on the
link says more, they will get more information. On the bottom of the website there
are two links for our mobile applications. Parents can download the applications on
their PC and install to their smartphones. If they want to download the app on their
smartphones directly, they can do it. This is the easiest way to install the applications.

6- Notifications and Alerts:

Critical emergency information and important reminders need to be
communicated through a
notification system that provides SMS (text), voice and email. These types of systems
may or may not integrate with other channels but serve a purpose for time-critical
messages. Parents typically have the ability to customize their preference and receive
the preferred method of communication. Schools need to be sensitive to how this type
of messaging is utilized. Our harmony parents can choose any communication
methods of these to be alerted. There are some local radio stations that have deal
with Harmony School of Innovation Fort Worth and they will make announcements a
couple of times in the mornings.

Evaluation:
1- Collect all data and review from the social media tools and organize them
2- Bring all the data gathered by Facebook YouTube and twitter review to the school
board meeting
3- Value the faculty members thoughts and their suggestions for communication to
improve it.
4- Keep up the surveys and evaluate the data.

Note: This communication plan will be reviewed and checked by the school board
member and superintendent and will be update regularly.
