Live Lavish with Me
Do you love money? Do you want to buy your dream car? What is your
dream car? Is it a Porsche? Maybe a Camaro? Do you want to live in Beverly
hills, or maybe even New York? Do you want to own a beach house? Do you
want to travel the world? I know I do! My dream is to travel the world and live
in a house where I have to use a hover board to get to the other side. Thats
why I chose to major in business management. Business management is the
best major for anyone who wants to live their dream life, likes making
money, and would want to have the opportunity to become an entrepreneur.
It doesnt get better than this!
Choosing a major was really tough for me. My whole life I swore that I
was going to be a pediatrician, but close too high school graduation I realized
how much I hated science. I still had the idea to work with kids because I
love kids. Everybody kept telling me Do what you love, Dont major in
something just for the money because your job isnt everything. I then
came to the realization that those people were wrong. I couldnt stand the
idea of working at a place that I loved, but not living the life that I wanted. I
wanted to be financially secure as a woman because us women have it a lot
harder than men. To be financially secure and also live the lavish life that I
dream of, I knew that I had to major in something that would bring in a good
income. The summer after graduating high school, I did my research on

business management and I was convinced that it was the best option for
me.
Not a lot of people think about stepping outside their comfort zone like
I did, especially not women because most women dont have the self
confidence to be in control. This is another reason why I chose to become a
business management major. People dont expect us women to be in charge,
so I decided I wanted to change that concept. Majoring in business
management is giving me the opportunity to make money and stand up for
something I believe in, it can do the same for you!
Once I began college in the fall, I knew I had made the right choice by
majoring in business management. I met so many great people (networking
is key), and I was offered so many amazing opportunities just in my freshman
year alone! I am now a part of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars,
which offers thousands of dollars in scholarships to members only. In order to
become a member, you have to have a minimum GPA of a 3.5. I was able to
obtain above a 3.5 GPA because all of my business management classes are
completely comprehendible. I was also invited to join the Business Honors
Program in the David Nazarian College of Business for being the top 2% of
my college. I shared this information about myself to show all the amazing
opportunities that I have had by majoring in business management. So, if I
can do it, you can do it too.
Majoring in business management will help you possess a numerous
amount of skills that will help you both in and outside of a work place. One of

the biggest things that I had been taught this semester is how to research,
and I dont just mean going on Wikipedia and citing everything they say, but
actually using credible researching websites. Having researching skills is
essential no matter what you major in because you always need to expand
your knowledge. Majoring in business management also taught me how to
think critically and helped me enhance my writing. By having these skills,
you will always figure out a solution for every situation and youll be able to
communicate better with others.
You may ask, why should I specifically major in business management?
Why cant I just major in a different business branch? Well, majoring in
different business branches wont give you as many career options as
business management does. By majoring in business management you can
become an Advertising, Promotions, and Marketing Manager. The median pay
for this job is $124,850 per year, or $60.03 per hour. Thats almost triple of
what the average American makes. The entry level education for this
position is a Bachelors degree, thats it! Lets be realistic, getting a
Bachelors degree is totally doable. The need of employees/employers for
this position will increase by nine percent faster than the average from 2014
to 2024. If you dont want to be an Advertising, Promotion, and Marketing
Manager, then you can become a Sales Manager. The median pay for a Sales
Manager is $113,860 per year, or $54.74 per hour. The entry level of
education is also a Bachelors degree. The job outlook for this job is five
percent as fast as the average from 2014 to 2024. If these careers dont

interest you, you can also become an Account Manager, Human Resources
Manager, Project Manager, and so much more. There is just so many options!
By majoring in business management, you can get the chance to
become an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, you are your own boss and you
build your own team. You can do anything you want because you have a lot
of flexibility. You have the chance to choose your own schedule, so if youre
not feeling so well, you can just take the day off and have your employees
take over for you. You also have the option to choose your own hours, so if
you have an important event going on, such as a graduation, you wont have
to miss it. Lets not forget about choosing your vacation. As much fun as it is
making money, its also as much fun to go on vacation. Everyone needs to
take a break from time to time. If youre a woman, you will be able to take
maternity leave. Every women knows how important maternity leave is.
Thinking about things like maternity leave and how you want your
future to be is extremely critical when choosing your major. A lot of women in
America put their children in day care at only six weeks old because they
dont get maternity leave. You do not want to be that mother! Like have you
ever seen that movie in which a parent doesnt get the chance to go to their
childs super important performance because they had work? Well, that
doesnt only happen in movies, it happens everyday. You do not want to be
that parent! Your child will forever hold a grudge against you.
If you want to have a family and be able to spend time with them, you
have to choose a career that will give you the flexibility to actually do so.

Majoring in business management will give you the option to have that
career. You wont ever have to miss any ballet recitals, nor any birthday
parties, nor any graduations. You can live your dream life while being there
for your family and being financially secure. Who ever said that you couldnt
have the best of both worlds (or in this case, the best of all worlds)?
The best thing that a business management major offers you is
security. Upon graduation, you wont have to be scared about not finding a
job. You wont have to settle for less at a fast food restaurant, nor any other
job that only offers to pay you minimum wage. With a Bachelors degree
from business management, you can start off by managing a small store, or
maybe even a small company. Employers look for employees who have a
business background. You can even decide to continue your education and
go to grad school or law school. Any school would love to have students with
a degree in business management.
