First Prompt

As leader of the first colony for New Earth I would immediately begin a system of
effective agricultural farming. Perhaps use some of our 5-year food supply to grow more food
for the future. Afterwards, I would establish two committees: A committee for public resources
(CPR) and a committee for public affairs (CPA). The responsibilities of the public resource
committee would be maintaining the Central Farm I established in the beginning. They will also
monitor everyone elses food supply and the output of food of each individuals personal farm.
An individual will receive a certain amount of food from the Central Farm each year depending
on how much they have given to the CPR throughout the year. The CPR will be led and
organized by whoever is the main leader of the colony. There is no limit of how many members
the CPR can have. The CPAs responsibilities will be primarily social. They can be judges on
personal disputes, organize large get-togethers, mental health checks, and just be there to provide
a feeling of humanity for our colony. They would also take request from those who say they
need more food from the CPR. The CPA would review that individuals case and let the CPR
know if they qualified to receive the extra aid. The CPA members are elected by votes. An
individual can only run for a membership position if they were nominated by one of the CPR
members, nominated by a large portion of the total population, or if they were nominated by 3
individual with a high food output. The leader of the CPA is selected through a majority vote.
After the basics of this committees are establish, I would draft a Constitution with more
details about how the committees will function, how power will be distributed, positions, rules,
regulations, etc. and give every individual a copy of the draft. The Constitution will not be
ratified until each individual approves of it. People who dont approve of the draft will have to
write their own lists of reasons of why they dont approve and if they are disregarded by those
who do approve, the new Constitution will be enacted. Although my first actions as leader may
seem dry and bureaucratic they are important because they will ensure the colony with the
resources necessary to enjoy and flourish on this new planet. In situations like these it is
essential to remember: Before you can live, you must survive. My interplanetary Tweet to
Mission Control explaining why they elected me reads as follows: I was elected because the
public understood that my ideas reflect wisdom, acuity, and effectiveness. So with gratitude, I
answered the call.
