The significance of learning about geometric reasoning is to give me a better

understanding on how to classify each property, so that I can becom" u r,r.q"pdful educaior. f irst,

I began reviewing about different types of quadrilaterals and the properties of each quadrilateral.
The only knowledge I had with quadrilaterals was identifying them such as, the square,

the

rectangle, and the triangle. Problem set 1 and 2 went more in depth of kn6wing the diffetent

properties and the similarities of each quadrilateral such as, angles and pair of parallel lines.

Achieving a better understanding with the properties of all quadrilaterals paved a stronger !'i,'''

foundation with leaming about different typqs of triangles. Next, problem set 3 went in depth

-(<

about different types of triangle. As a matter of fact, taking the same approach of leaming about
quadrilaterals allowed me to take the same inquiry approach to leam abogt the different
properties. I completely forgot the different types of triangles, as well as, the different angles
some triangles have. I had zerc knowledge about the different type of angles of parallel lines are

cut by a transversal such as. coresponding angles, alternate interior angles, altemate exterior

angles, and consecutive angles. More importantly, learning about parallel lines and a transversal

Iine that cuts down the pair of parallel lines gave me a better understanding that angles of a

triangle, when lined up 'parallel' to the base of the triangle will create a straight line that equals
180 degrees. Lastly, the beginning of problem set 4 reviewed the

segment, perpendicular lines, skew lines, and collinear.
