How did that get there?

Colleen Thompson and the gang got a good chuckle

yesterday evening as somehow a little calf pooey
ended up on her shoulder even before branding was
officially underway. Hey, its a messy job but someone

has to do it. Getting a good laugh was Harold Lindell

and Bill Uphaus, and while you cant see his face,
Leonard Swenson was smiling as well. This was the
second branding performed by the Swenson crew.

Letters to the Buzz

Slick, Part II

This is a follow-up to my other letter on Mr. Burns.

In looking at his latest campaign financial report, I am
deeply troubled. A full 1/3 of his donations have come
from out of State. His listed expenditures are also out
of State. Folks, we live in Northeast Montana, we need
someone who has roots here.
I would encourage you to join me and support
Casey Knudsen. Hes a Malta man, whose family has
been here for generations, who knows what our little
corner of the world is all about. He is an honorable man.
So, let me make myself perfectly clear. I Jon A.
Blockhus, aka Jonny Rawhide, Endorse Casey Knudsen
for HD 33. Any questions......call me.

SAGA of ST. MARIE

facts, numbers, questions, opinion

WHOA WHOA WHOA.... some say it appears to be

modern day claim jumpin, cattle rustling, or bank
robbery when referring to the upcoming SMDC meeting.
(St. Marie Development Corp.) Why are some of that
opinion? .....well heres why:
1. An UNSIGNED notice sent to SOME shareholders of
SMDC mentioned an Annual Meeting of the shareholders
of SMDC.
2. Stated: Admission to the meeting will be limited to
shareholders with PROOF of SHARES as evidenced with a
copy of STOCK CERTIFICATE or approved PROXY.
3. NO legal authority to conduct such a meeting by an
UNSIGNED ghost.
4. NO information or notification to shareholders of last
meeting.
5. NO minutes of the last meeting provided.
6. NO report or update to shareholders.
7. NO list of properties owned by SMDC, left from original
$7,000,000 in claimed assets listed in the Chapter 11
Bankruptcy Case No.97-12587-JLP-11.
8. NO list of SECURED and UNSECURED CREDITORS
provided.
9. NO list of CREDITORS CLAIMS provided.
CONCLUSION: Who owns the assets- Pat Kelly, Marv
Bethea, or ALL the Shareholders combined? Since Mike
Mitchell of Missoula and Merrill Frantz (DTM) of
Washington were not original creditors in the VPLT
Bankruptcy, are they really shareholders? Who has the
LEGAL POWER to do anything? Whad R they up to now?

Its Child Vehicular Heatstroke Awareness

and Prevention Safety Guidance for 2016

In 2015, there were 24 heatstroke deaths of children

left unattended in vehicles. Already this year, six
children have died after being left in vehicles.
Studies show the temperature inside a vehicle can
rapidly rise to lethal levels, even on a relatively mild
spring day with an outside temperature of less than 70
degrees Fahrenheit.
Heatstroke is the leading cause of all non-crashrelated vehicle fatalities involving children under 15
years old. During the period from 1998 to the present,
667 children died from excessive heat as a result of
being left enclosed in parked vehicles. Thats an average
37 children per year. In most of these cases, about 54
percent, these children were forgotten in vehicles as a
result of parents or caregivers being distracted.
To help prevent more tragedies such as these
from occurring, the National Weather Service and the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offer
the following safety precautions to help avoid tragic
deaths of babies and young children.
Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle, not even
for a minute.
If you see a child unattended in a vehicle, call 911.
Make removing your child from the vehicle your first
priority once you have parked.
Routinely look in the back and front of your vehicle
before locking and leaving your vehicle.
As a visual reminder, keep a stuffed animal in the car
seat. When the child is placed in the car seat, move
the stuffed animal to the front so the driver sees it.
Place your purse or briefcase in the back seat as a
reminder that you have your child in the car.
Ask your childcare provider to call you if your child
does not show up for childcare.
My personal plea is pets as well as children! says
Tanja Fransen of the Glasgow National Weather Service.
Dont leave either in vehicles in the summer.

Ba-ha-ha-ha...

Listening to Pandora (a national internet music

station), an advertisement came on from Triple A. And
they picked on Montana! Well, not so much as picking
on us, but just stated about a law that is apparently still
in the books:
In Montana, it is illegal to have a sheep in the cab
of your truck without a chaperone.
Apparently, Charlie Maag tried to get insurance
from Triple A but was denied due to this Montana law.
At any rate (and were not talking the price of
AAA Insurance rates) here are some more wacky laws
concocted by early Montana law makers according to
Big Government. Small Brains. Dumb Laws website:
Prostitution is considered a crime against the family.
One may not pretend to abuse an animal in the
presence of a minor.
In Montana, it is illegal for married women to go
fishing alone on Sundays, and illegal for unmarried
women to fish alone at all.
Seven or more Indians are considered a raiding or
war party and it is legal to shoot them.
It is a felony for a wife to open her husbands mail.
It is a misdemeanor to show movies that depict acts of
felonious crime.
