Feedback on Mathworks Placement Process - Bhavesh Bhatt

The 1st round was resume short listing where in all the candidates were selected for the
next round.
The 2nd round was online interview round in which we had to answer 5 basic HR
questions - you can easily find all the 5 questions in glassdoor.com
What makes you suitable for the position?
What is your current CGPA?
Why does this job interest you?
The 3rd round was online written exam which had 4 sections - 60 questions 60 minutes.
C Language - All the basics should be clear. Enum, pointers, structures, unions,
Linked List, static variable, function calls, call by reference, operator precedence,
sizeof() function etc. Most of the questions were asked from glassdoor.com
Matlab - It had subjective and objective section. Basic Matlab functions should
be studied properly. It was the toughest section according to me.
Embedded Systems - Basic of Real time system, priority inversion & inheritance
definition! Is OS necessary for an embedded system? Simple questions if you go
through the basics.
Mathematics - Probability, Maxima Minima, Eigen Values, Matrix Operations,
invertability of a matrix, Rank of a matrix. Practise all the questions given in
glassdoor.com
The 4th round was F2F Interviews. Total 3 Interviews were conducted.
Technical Interview - Questions from all the above 4 sections were asked in
depth. The interview lasted for 1 hour 30 minutes. Questions related to my
projects were also asked. Do highlight all the projects done in Simulink/Matlab.
Managerial Interview - This round was conducted by the manager, HR interview
questions were asked.
HR Interview - HR round was simple, no need to worry so much about it.
Please dont waste your time in summer holidays. 1 more thing for Mathworks please go
through all the experiences shared in glassdoor.com before you start preparing. You will
get a rough idea of how the questions are going to be and you can prepare accordingly.
