Uvod
ivi svijet temelji se na istim ili veoma slinim biolokim i kemijskim procesima,
no kroz evoluciju flore i faune brojne prilagodbe dovele su do iznenaujue
raznolikosti vrsta. Kako su prolazila geoloka doba, izmjenjivale su se dominantne
skupine, a njihovi pripadnici su u nastojanju zadravanja svojeg mjesta u
hranidbenom lancu razvili brojne impresivne iliti strane osobine. Ovisno o
skupini kojoj pripadaju, vrste navedene u nastavku istiu se kao udovita
svojih doba, bilo zbog gotovo nezamislive veliine ili zanimljivih morfolokih
oblika.
