BIRAC WORKSHOP ON

BIO-ENTREPRENEURSHIP, GRANT
WRITING & IP
( 23rd 24th June, 2016 )
Objectives
The objective of the workshop is to sensitize the target audiences about the BIRAC support
for the entrepreneurs and the importance and relevance of intellectual property in the
biotechnology regime. Moreover, these workshops also provide a platform for the aspiring
entrepreneurs to gain knowledge about effective grant writing skills from the experts in the
domain. The main aim is to motivate the students and researchers to take entrepreneurship as
a career since BIRAC has the mechanism to support them and to make the young
entrepreneurs aware of the power of intellectual property and ways to manage it.

For Registration
Application will be considered on first come, first served basis. Application form for
attending the workshop are available here http://www.iiim.res.in/External/Birac/form.pdf
Interested participants can send the duly filled and signed requisition form at
ssaran@iiim.ac.in. Form should also be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/(Industry personnel) or Rs. 500 /- (for New Start-ups, Entrepreneurs, Academia & Students),
drawn in favor of Director, Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, payable at
Jammu (Applicant should write his name with parentage at the back of the DD). The last date
of Registration by e.mail is 15th June16 and the hard copy of the same should reach to IIIM,
Jammu latest by 18th June 2016. An acceptance email will be send to the participants once
the hard copy of the application form along with the DD is received.
Participants have to arrange their own Travel and Stay during the workshop.
