Auenreinigung
(Waschbehlter speziell fr Auenreinigung)
Anschlieend Abspritzen der Bauteile mit
Vorreinigungsflssigkeit aus der Spritzflasche und
trocknen der Teile.
External cleaning
Eliminate external contamination from the objects by
immersing them in the wash container filled with
prepurification liquid, and use cleaning devices in
addition (wash container dedicated for external
cleaning).
Following this, wash the components with
prepurification liquid from the wash bottle and dry
them.
Demontage
Die sauberkeitsgerechte Demontage muss
objektabhngig festgelegt werden. Dies betrifft die
Handhabung sowie Art und Anwendung
eingesetzter Werkzeuge und Hilfsmittel.
Disassembly
Disassembly steps in compliance with cleanliness
requirements have to be defined depending on the
particular object. This concerns handling as well as
type and use of tools and aids.
Konditionierung
sauberkeitsgerecht erfolgt.
Conditioning
For some products it may be required to exclude nonrelevant surfaces or control surfaces, which are subject
to other cleanliness specifications, from the analysis or
to analyse these separately.
Areas that are not to be included in the analysis are to
be isolated for this purpose, e.g. by closing with plugs.
When doing so, it must be ensured that such isolation
conforms to the specifications for cleanliness.
FTE automotive
Entmagnetisierung
Magnetismus bewirkt, dass magnetisierbare
Partikel mit hheren Krften am Prfobjekt haften.
Ferromagnetische Prfobjekte mssen vor der
Beprobung entmagnetisiert werden.
FTE-TL086 / 2010/05
Demagnetization
Magnetism causes magnetisable particles to stick
with higher forces on the object to be inspected.
Ferromagnetic inspection objects must be
demagnetized before the analysis.
Prfflssigkeit
Analysis liquid:
Ethanol is used as analysis liquid (it is also called
ethyl alcohol or spirit).
Before being used, the ethanol must be filtered
through a membrane filter with an average
aperture size of 0.8 m.
Achtung:
Attention:
Make sure that ignition sources are kept away
from the workspace and consider static
electrification when handling cleaning liquid as the
cleaning liquid is inflammable.

Procedure - Extraction
Provide all resources required for the
inspection.
Make sure that the inspection equipment
is clean and determine the blank level
(see also section 4.4.1.1).
If required, clean the external surface of
the component specifically to exclude
cross-contamination, e.g. close holes in
housings, prepurify, leave plugs in the
part.
If required, drain off the object under
inspection and determine the volume and
degree of purification of the drained off
liquid.
If required, perform preparatory work, e.g.
dismantling, demagnetization, isolation.
Place the inspection lot within the
inspection container and fix the objects, if
required. Position the object under
inspection so that liquid can easily run
into the inspection container or in the
collecting container.
Preparation of filters
Before use, the filter is spray-washed
with pre-filtered ethanol (analysis liquid)
and dried in the oven for 15 minutes at
100 5C. Following this, it is stored in
the dessicator with siccative for another
15 minutes. After cooling down, the filter
is weighed with a resolution of 0.01mg
(mass m1).
Then, put the object through the
inspection process, meeting exactly the
appropriate conditions (time, liquid
volume, sequence ). Pay attention that
no liquid is lost during this and that
external surfaces which are not relevant
for the inspection of the component are
not wetted, if possible. For objects having
hollow spaces which are not easily
accessible, remove the liquid using a
clean extraction unit.
If required, inspect the interior of the
packing. The liquid arising belongs to the
analysis liquid.
Finally, flush the used collecting
containers, such as funnels, with a
sufficient quantity of clean analysis liquid.
The liquid arising belongs to the analysis
liquid.
Filtration
Add the collected liquid to the analysis.
Filter the analysis liquid - without
entrainment - from the wash container via
the filter into the filtration apparatus.

order to flush particles as completely as
possible onto the filter.
The filter is dried in the oven for 15

Hinweis:
Das bertragen der Partikel fr spezielle Analysen
vom Ursprungs Analysefilter auf einen anderen
Partikeltrger ist nicht zu empfehlen.
Es kann zu Partikelverlusten, etc. fhren.

Analysis
For info on the procedure, see FTETL042 (Technical Cleanliness of

Documentation
Note:
It is not recommended to transfer the particles
from the original analysis filter to another particle
carrier for special analysis.
It could result in particle loss, etc.
