5.1 For SPM, the GPMP for AR1 was 7.57. The strengths identified were
students could score for Paper 1 Section A because they only needed to
know the correct format and use the points given to them. As for
weaknesses, students faced difficulty in Paper 1 Section B because some
were not able to understand the questions or wrote out of topic. Their
writing lacked vocabulary, low mastery of grammar and sentence
structures and some do not have knowledge of the topics.
5.2 In Paper 2, students found it easier to answer Section A and B as they had
to answer MCQ. They found it difficult to answer the summary because
they could not get the content points, paraphrase and link ideas or do
intelligent lifting.
5.3 In Paper 2, students managed to score for Section D poem as they can
answer the HOTs questions. Those who do not found it difficult because
they fail to understand the requirements of the questions or relate their life
experience to the questions.
5.4 The question for the novel was the hardest because most students have not
finished reading the novel on their own, and cannot recall particular
evidence to support their writing.
5.5 Students overall showed improvement especially Natasia Low (81%),
Erdyana (79%), Camelia (78%), Niazatul (75%) and Cyprian (77%).
6.

7.1 PBS will still be carried out and teachers are reminded to refer to the
