Fund-raisers
underway for
Alexander Family

The morning of Friday,

June 10th, Jeff Alexancer
woke up and was getting
ready to head to work. He
was excited because the
next day he was flying to
Arizona to be reunited
with his wife Stephanie and
their kids, and bring them
back to Glasgow to live.
As he was doing his
laundry, a huge explosion
occurred, and then a
fire destroyed the home.
His neighbor heard him
hollering for help and ran
over and assisted. He was
transported to the local
hospital with serious burns,
where he was stabilized
and then transported
via AirStat Ambulance
to Salt Lake City and the
University of Utah Burn
Center. The house was a
total loss.
Jeff, an Electronics
Technician for the National
Weather Service Office
in Glasgow, has burns

over 90% of his body, and

is battling huge odds at
this time, yet hes told his
family he wants to fight for
his life. His wife Stephanie
and other family members
are with him.
They are rallying
around him, as are his coworkers across the NWS,
this amazing community,
and his friends from
his Army (served in the

1st Brigade in Iraq for

16 months) and Navy
days (sailor on the first
carrier that responded
to
the
Fukashima/
Tsunami Disaster).
If
youve ever looked at
weather observations in
NE Montana, viewed the
weather radar, checked
out webcams, or listened
to NOAA Weather Radio,
you have benefited from

the work Jeff does.

While he has medical
insurance, it doesnt cover
the costs that his family
will be incurring as they
deal with this devastating
tragedy. There will be travel
costs and many expenses
in the future weeks and
months. Please help this
young family out as they
face an uncertain future.

Accounts set up for Gage & JR

While riding their dirt bikes in the hills just outside of

Glasgow, Gage Siefert (age 13) and JR Estes (age 32) suffered
a horrendous head-on crash on Saturday afternoon of June
11th. Both were flown out due to critical injuries.
Gage underwent surgery at the Childrens Hospital
on Sunday to fix his shattered face, along with a busted
up hand. His eye socket, nose, both cheek bones, jaw and
chin were all badly damaged along with a lot of scrapes,
bumps and bruises on his entire body one hurting young
fellow, we can tell you. Despite it all, he was in high spirits
last night and hopes he can be healed up enough in time to
show his 4-H projects at the Northeast Montana Fair.
JR Estes, who works with the City of Glasgow Street
Department, was also flown out with a destination of
Billings, undergoing some major surgeries for a broken
neck, a broken wrist the other a shattered wrist along
with plenty of other minor injuries. While they already
had him up and walking last night, hes got a long ways to
go and is going to require plenty of help as he doesnt have
use of either arm; hes out of work for an indefinite amount
of time.
While both have medical coverage, other costs
associated with injuries and hospital stays add up all too
quickly. An account for Gage has been set up at Valley
Bank under the name of his parents, Paul and Jodi, if
youd like to help; there is an account for JR at the Fort
Peck Credit Union (you can go to either the Fort Peck or
Glasgow branch).

~Thank you~

Through the years we did not give much thought to

why we were doing the Museum work we were doing.
We enjoyed but in thinking about it we believe we
do it for the younger generations by preserving their
heritage to enjoy and to pass on. It helps to give our
lives meaning and hopefully does the same for them
so they will in turn pass it on to their children and
beyond. It brought more meaning to the wonderful
Retirement Party that we celebrated this week-end.
We extend our thanks to all those who participated
in any way. You are all a wonderful group of people.
It has been a privilege.
