(PICPA)

BACKGROUND
The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) holds
an Annual National Convention (ANC). The 71st ANC will be hosted by the
Southern Mindanao Region. The Davao City and Sultan Kudarat Chapters
will jointly host the event on November 24, 25, and 26, 2016 in Davao
City, the beloved city of our very own President Rodrigo Duterte. The
opening ceremony will be held at the University of Southeastern
Philippines Gymnasium in Davao City, Davao Del Sur.
The ANC is one of the major events of the PICPA, it being the most
awaited event where the number of participants continues to increase
over the years. It serves as a venue for the discussion of current events,
developments, and issues facing each sector and the profession and a
venue for building friendships among the members.
Furthermore, the ANC is a significant revenue generating activity
which provides substantial revenue for the Institute and its Chapters. This
years ANC aims to generate as much income as possible to be allocated
to the designated beneficiaries and projects.
The 71st ANC will be spearheaded by Davao City Chapter Past
President Felix T. Fabian as this years ANC Chairperson.
OBJECTIVES
We aim to make this upcoming 71st Annual National Convention to
be the most abundant, most impressive, and the most attended ANC in
our history yet. Our objective is to have at least 5,000 registered
delegates this year.
The participants and delegates are also guaranteed a value for
money event and an abundant, comfortable and enjoyable 3-day
experience not only for them but also for their families.
The 71st ANC will be an opportunity for us to raise funds for the
PICPA and its Chapters, and to raise funds for the National President
Ramonito Pernatos future projects and programs. From the events
revenue, we also intend to provide funds for the benefit of the Badjao
community in Davao City.
Lastly, this events main objective is not just to bring new
knowledge and enhanced competency to the members and for gaining the
required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units, but also
geared towards the members individual enjoyment and pleasure.
