Dear Ms. Holt,

I read all 256 pages of the book, Confessions of a Not It Girl. This is a love story
of a girl named Jan whos in love with a guy at her school whose name was Josh. She
faces some hard decisions to make that include other people, and decisions she has to
make that shes causing herself. To try to get closer to Josh, she babysits him and his
little siblings.
Jan is the type of girl who not only crushes on a guy, but goes crazy over them.
On page 78 it describes how Jan gets ready for Josh to kiss her. She opens her mouth
and puckers her lip but surprise! No kiss. This means that Josh doesnt like her back
and doesnt want her. This can play out in two ways for Jan; either she keeps chasing
after him or stops liking him. This reminds me of the book, Romeo and Juliet. Juliet
expects a kiss from Romeo but doesnt get it.
Jan faces more things in life thats more important than her love life, but also her
future. Throughout pages 142-148, it explains how she is putting Josh before herself
like missing application deadlines. This shows how she has to decide whats more
important and she chose Josh. This reminds me of like how when you want to buys
something and you have to decide whether its a want or a need and necessity to life.

Sincerely,
Jeab Aquino
