the burning bush. "Moses, Moses," the voice said.
Moses answered, "Here Iam."

"l know about the sufferings of my people in Egypt.


I have come down to rescue them and bring th-em
out of Egypt to the land of Canaan."

"l am sending you to the Pharaoh so that you can

lead my people out of his country," God said. "But I


am nobody special," Moses said. "How can I bring the
lsraelites out of Egypt?"

"l will be with you. When you bring the people out

of Egypt, you will worship me on this mountain.

That will be the proof that I have sent you."

"Explain to the leaders of lsrael that l, the Lord,
