Fuels I: Energy Sources and Trends

Course description:
Understanding fuels is fundamental to energy management, since trends in production, supply, and demand all affect
pricing and availability, with critical effects on business results. Choosing between alternate fuels requires a sound
knowledge of energy values and conversion calculations. In this course we will discuss the current energy sources
chiefly used, define the different types of energy, discuss renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, and what the
predicted trends are for future fuel consumption.
