Five-Year Career Plan
Plan Period: From - 26th of April 2016 -to 7th of June 2021
My Current Position: In Shipley Collage studying an extended level 3 diploma in
Business
My Long-Term Goal: Marketing executive within the Leeds Area
Intermediate Steps Over the Next Five Years to Reach My Goal
Try to set two or three short term goals (i.e. those in the next 2 years)
and the remainder for the medium term (following 3 years)
In the first year I am planning to pass my English GCSE in order to
enable me to get onto the Marketing and advertisement management
Year One
at Leeds Becket University. Secondly, I am intending to get (D*D*D*)
as the overall grade for my BTEC level 3 in business which will be 420
UCAS points, 100 points over what I need to get into university
because I feel that I can achieve it.
Within the second year I am hoping to get a Part-time within Leeds
whilst Im at university, this is because it will help me with living costs
Year Two
and travelling expenses. Finally, the Part-time job could be anything
related to Bar or office work or I could try find a job within marketing
so I can gain some experience and knowledge within my selected
career

Year Four

At the end of year two and the start of year two, I will intend to have
some experience within my dream career; this will help me gain some
experience and knowledge of the surroundings of which I will have
within my dream job role.
In the fourth year of my 5 year plan, I intend to have worked hard
within my chosen degree by achieving as best as personally possible.

Year Five

I am to be on a graduate scheme within a marketing function for a

business organisation.

Personal Development Objectives to Meet My Goals

(What do I need to do to get where I want to be?)
I need to make sure that I plan ahead when doing assignments within university to
ensure that I can do them as best I can and to a high standard, but before that I
need to make sure that I concentrate on my GCSE English and revise allot before the
exam in order to ensure that I am successful in getting into Leeds Beckett university
on the course that I have applied for and the career that I plan to pursue. Finally, I
personally need to make sure that I take hold of any opportunities in regards to
experience within the workplace; this can be as part-time work or unpaid voluntary
work.

How can others help me accomplish these objectives?

By giving my motivation in regards to the personal aspiration that I have set myself
over the next 5 months, and by giving my guidance of how I can achieve my goals in
regards to grades and successfully getting a part-time job.
