Esta lista uma raridade, acredito que muito pouca gente tenha visto uma igual . Eu a consegui
escrevendo para vrios Professores de Universidades de Msica americanas, tentando descobrir o
fabricante de um clarinete bastante antigo feito em bano que adquiri de um antiqurio por um preo
irrisrio aqui em So Paulo. Ao toca-lo logo percebi que se tratava de um instrumento de som muito bom.
As nicas inscries nele so o nome Lincoln na campana, made in france nas duas espigas e o
nmero de srie. Na poca consultei vrias oficinas especializadas em manuteno e todas no
conheciam esta marca, somente as marcas tradicionais.
Ao conseguir esta lista de um Prof. de Msica da Universidade do Arizona, acabei por descobrir que as
marcas Lincoln, Manhattan, Marcil etc. foram fabricadas pela H&A Selmer !!!. Duvidei da veracidade dela
e acabei por escrever para a prpria Selmer, anexando a lista . Eles retornaram o Email confirmando
que a Selmer exportou muitos instrumentos para o mercado americano com marcas customizadas no
sabendo precisar muito os anos, pois houveram vrias interrupes. Tambm no havia controle rgido
para esta srie exportao.
Segundo eles, este instrumento pode ser considerado um Selmer Paris, pois pelo fato de seu nmero de
srie conter um S. Eles afirmaram ainda que o mesmo poderia ser at um irmo da famlia Signet dos
anos 50 at 60. Aps 1960 no houve mais esta customizao e todos os que eram exportados para o
mercado americano saiam da fbrica com o logotipo Selmer
Como o Brasil importou muitos produtos americanos at 1964, bem provvel que existam vrios
instrumentos como estes perdidos por aqui e quem os possui no tem a mnima idia do valor, acabam
vendendo por um valor irrisrio ou at jogando fora.
Se voc possui um clarinete antigo de marca desconhecida e deseja se desfazer dele, veja antes se ele
no est na lista abaixo. Se no estiver e o corpo dele for de bano, observe se as molas so de ao
azul (veja no sol o brilho azulado), se forem, pense bem antes de fazer qualquer negcio com ele.
