Breakout Descriptions
Loving and Engaging Northern African and Middle Eastern Peoples: Katie W.- How can
followers of Jesus respond to a growing movement of Islam in the world? We will dialogue about
effective ways to present the Gospel to Muslims in North America and the world. Learn what is
really happening behind the closed wall of Islam and hope that is beginning to shine in North Africa
and the Middle East.

Mapping Your Community: Dr. Van Sanders-Learn three tools for obeying the Great
Commission right where you live. At the end of the breakout, you will have a simple plan for
identifying the unevangelized people groups in your community, discovering persons of peace in
each people group, and evangelizing those people groups.

Developing an Intentional Local and Global Mission Strategy: Eric King- Most churches
believe that the Great Commission belongs to every local congregation. Many truly desire to be on
mission but are not sure how to begin or proceed. We will look at how the Bible teaches us to be
comprehensively and strategically on mission with God both locally and globally. Learn ways to
explore God’s heart for your congregation and how to move forward with a comprehensive mission
strategy.

Exploring Southeast Asian Peoples: Phil Nelson- What do vast concentrations of Buddhists,
Muslims, and even Catholics have in common? Southeast Asia! Learn about the least evangelized
island on Earth, how God is spiritually re-building war-torn Vietnam and the killing fields of
Cambodia, and how to engage Thailand and more.

Being the Hands and Feet of Jesus: Jeff Palmer- Learn how to engage people groups
holistically, spiritually and physically. BGR connects people in need (disasters, wars, epidemics,
poverty, hunger poor health, etc) with people who care.

Living as a Missionary: North America as a Mission Field: Steve Canter- Learn how to
reach people living in your community following the missionary patterns found in scripture. Whether
you desire to reach your neighborhood, the people you work with, or people with whom you have
nothing in common. You will find this breakout to be practical, informative, and inspirational.

Orphan Care and Adoption Ministry: Johnny Carr- Man created orphanages, God ordained the
family. Learn strategic ways and intentional methods that can be implemented by any size church to
care for orphans, promote adoption, and care for the families that are called to adopt.

More than a Trip to Africa: Greg Queen- 100+ churches from the US are working to expand the
Kingdom of Jesus in Sub-Saharan Africa. These churches, large and small, are seeking more than
“just another mission trip.” They are making long-term commitments to play a major part in prayer,
evangelism, and church planting. We need more just like them. In this session, we will talk about
unreached people groups who have yet to hear the Gospel and learn ways your church can make
an impact among them.
