3. Select “Interactive Tables” (green graph)

4. Go to Frequently Requested Tables

5. Select Table 1.1.6 “Real Gross Domestic Product, Chained Dollars, A,
Q (annual) and (quarterly)

6. Change First Year to 1929; change Last Year to 2009; change “series”
to annual

7. Click “update”

Note: Numbers are in constant 2005 dollars, i.e. inflation has been removed and
dollars for all years have been converted to 2005 dollars.

Click on “Research” - blue bar at top

10. Click on “Full Search”

11. Before you search for an industry, change “Report Date” to last year.
Select “investment research” for Collection, and “Industry” for report
type. Change Report Date to “last year”

12. Use Industry window. You can type in an industry name, or use NAICS
codes. Enter “Utilities” – then click on spy glass.

13. Select top box 21 Utilities. Click on “include selected? The window
will close and take you back to prior page. Page down.

14. The screen will say “last 90 days” but when the search is executed,
you will get a year’s worth of results. Click on blue “Search” button.

15. Select the report that will give you the most information, based on
page numbers. You are looking for a year end summary with outlook for
2010.

16. Click the hot link for the report title – Energy/Electric Utilities….

17. This will open a new page. Use relevant sections in your Industry
Report
