Riding tip checklist.

When starting off from stand still, pedal bicycle up to speed then engage throttle for best results.

On inclines pedalling will be required to maintain momentum.

Ensure Tires are fully inflated to 45 psi for bikes Remember performance of the bike is directly related to weight of the rider and any baggage/load together with the charge in the batteries.

Ensure batteries are fully charged prior to riding. Charge overnight prior to riding the next day.

Never let the batteries go fully flat. This will reduce battery and bike performance.

Apply .chain oil periodically and dean if dirty or gummed up using a- degreaser then wipe clean and apply bicycle chain oil.

If your bike is equipped with lights we recommend you ride with them switched on at all times to increase visibility for you and other road users.

It's important to start pedalling for a few revolutions THEN slowly tum the throttle control and gradually bring on the power. This ensures the battery and motor is not overloaded.

Pedals

1. Use a pedal wrench orl6mm spanner to tighten pedals.

2. Check and tighten pedal crank bolts with 14mm socket.

Tires

1. Inflate tire using a pump to 45-50 psi. Remember lower tire pressures will negatively impact performance by causing too much resis-

ranee.

Chain

1. Give the chain a light drop of bicycle chain oil or sewing oil.

Do not use RP7 type lubricants.

Mirrors

I. Remove the 5mm hex bolt from the brake lever located closest to the handle bars.

2. Inset mirror into slot ensuring a match for left and right etc. Screw on locking nut and recess into slot.

]. Twist until tight. Don 'lover tighten.

4 Adjust mirrors fOI" o0l11fo11 and visibility etc.

Battery

Insert battery case and Plug in the opposite way to the way yon removed it.

2. The battery will have enough charge for a short ride/use.

3. Charge the battery overnight.

Final Check

I. Check all nuts screws and bolts including ones not mentioned iii the set up, for tightness and fit before riding.

2. Dispose of packaging thoughtfully and responsibly. Recycle cardboard.

3. Ensure charger is functioning both connected to bicycle and directly to the battery pack when removed from bicycle.

4 When connected to the bicycle, tum ignition on, charging voltage should be around 40-44volts on the meter. Test by connecting and observing charging light on the charger.

Advice on Battery Charging

There has been a great variety of ideas on how to charge a scooter/electric bikes/mobility scooters. Deep cycle batteries. work all a set number of cycles ba sed all the amount

of discharge. if YOIl regularly discharge the batteries to

less than 50%, the number of cycles (of charge and discharge) will be less than if you regularly discharge to only 70%.

In general, it is best to occasionally use the battery to at least 50% of its capacity. i.e, at least some of the time it is not harmful to discharge the battery more fully, then charging it for at least 24 hours .. At all other times, it helps battery life to leave the scooterl Bike on charge for as long as possible - at least I hour (or longer if possible) after the "Float" or "Battery Charged" light has come 011.

Never leave a battery in a discharged state, especially for prolonged periods. Whenever you know you will not be using the, scooter for 1I. while, charge it before you leave it in an uncharged state. Most good quality chargers.e.g .. EPSIMEC Switch Mode] step, will not damage a battery it you leave them on charge after the "Float" or "Battery Charged" Iight has come on, even for a few days on end.

Again, it is preferable to purchase separate charger so that if it breaks down, the bike/scooter isn't alit of a ction whil e the charger is being repaired.

Remember Charge every time you use the Bicycle + once per month overnight if not in use;
