2010 “Ride for Life” a success!!

Dayton Christian 2010 graduates Abby Rodenfels and Shaina Logemann along with Junior Taylor
Rodenfels have being working with Dayton Right to Life since February on the first annual “Ride for Life”
event. With the help of many current students and even more graduates the event held on Saturday
July 31st and August 1st was a success. Dayton Christian High School was in charge of staffing the
Beavercreek Community Park relief station. Throughout both days, our students were seen alongside
the bike path enthusiastically cheering the 89 riders and offering much needed refreshments. On
Saturday, the volunteers cheered a special group of riders—four 2010 graduates of Dayton Christian
High School. Josh Thomas, Chris Hsu, Alan Ramsey & Matt Winters completed the course to South
Charleston and back—a total of 71 miles. On Sunday Taylor Rodenfels and Makenna Winslow (class of
2012) rode on a tandem bike and completed the 71 mile course. All the riders and volunteers are to be
commended for their time, energy and effort on behalf of the pro-life cause. Our school participated in
a contest with other local schools while helping to plan this event. The Dayton Christian team came in
third place for their planning and participation efforts. Well done students and graduates!!
