Math– On Friday, students took a quiz on the first half of


chapter one. Please go over any mistakes with your child, Homework Assignments
sign, and return the quiz in your child’s homework folder.
Monday-
Next week students will begin Part II of Chapter 1 which Spelling- Practice test; signed by parent or guardian
the meaning of division and how it is related to
multiplication. The class has really been focused on Math- p.18
sharpening their math skills so far. It’s great seeing them Tuesday-

*Third Graders should have the addition and subtraction Spelling- Write each word 2 x’s each

them to practice them at home. Please purchase flash Wednesday-

Reading- We will read the next story in our basal reader,
“Nate the Great San Francisco Detective.” Students are Thursday-
working on using a variety of strategies to decode longer Math- p. 21
words, identifying parts of a story (characters, setting, Spelling- practice test, missed words 3 X’s each.
