Over‐All Objective:
To contribute to a GOVERNANCE‐ENVIRONMENT
where the PROMOTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS is at the
center, particularly fulfilling the obligations of LGUs to
PROTECT & PROMOTE the RIGHTS of VULNERABLE
population AGAINST TRAFFICKING and VIOLENCE and
to INCREASE the RIGHTS‐CLAIMING CAPACITIES of
WOMEN.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
• To establish a CREDIBLE BASELINE DATA in
selected project sites that shows the
magnitude both of actual cases and
vulnerabilities of women and youth to various
forms of violence including trafficking that can
be used for policy and legislative reforms.

•1 survivor (from Mindanao – no relatives to
assist) reported to the brgy. Nothing happened.

• 2 cases filed OUT of 5 reported cases
• 1 out of the 2 who filed a case in 2008 have
not done any court hearing upto now.
• 2nd hearing of the other case was postponed
due to lawyer’s non appearance.
FINDINGS & OBSERVATIONS
• For VAWC survivors: 3 had BUKLOD as their
support; the others have their daughters,
neighbors, social worker and fiscal as their
support
• For TRAFFICKING survivors, all of them have
BUKLOD as their support group; 1 survivor has
a police officer, grandmother and aunt as
support in addition to BUKLOD.
