Model MD-100A Multi-channel Displacement Converter

The Model MD-100A Multi-channel Displacement Converter is a card type Converter
which compresses the highly accurate and stable peformance of the VC Series
Displacement Converter down to a compact size using hybrid ICs. Its space saving
design allows it to be built into user’s machinery by installing up to 5 hybrid ICs on a
printed board 110mm wide and 115mm deep.

■ Main Features
1. Hybrid ICs 3. Small button type sensor
This displacement converter is highly miniaturized compared to ordinary The small button type non-contact sensor can be installed in any narrow
converters by using hybrid lCs in the main circuit. location. (the standard screwed sensor is also available.)

2. Card-type converter 4. Magnetic bearing control

This converters combines the circuits of up to 5 channels into one card The compact, multi-channel design makes it suitable for displacement
110mm wide and 115mm deep for assembly into equipment where space control between the magnetic bearing and rotor.
is at a premium.

PRECAUTIONS
1. The sensor is accurately calibrated one to one with the corresponding channel, then shipped after soldering
to the converter.
Accurate measurement is not possible if the sensor is used in a different combination.
2. If the sensor installation surface is conductive, the converter may need to be calibrated depending on the
installation conditions.
If a conducting object other than the object to be measured (target) is near the sensor tip, it may affect the
measurement accuracy.
3. The change of the sensor cable length is not allowed after the shipment. (Recalibration is necessary)
