Reading/Spelling
There will not be a reading or spelling test this
week due to IOWA Testing. We will not be
switching classes for Reading or English this
week.
We will be doing most of our testing
in the morning.
Math
All math this week will be done in the classroom.
The only homework that your child may have is
work that they did not get finished in class.
Monday: p73, 6-17 Over/Underestimates
Tuesday: p75, 1-19 Diagnostic Checkpoint
Wednesday: p78, 7-22 Adding Whole Numbers
Thursday: p81, 7-16 Adding 3 or more numbers
Friday: p84, 7-16 Subtracting Whole Numbers
Good old-fashioned carrying and borrowing this
week (or as they now call it "regrouping").
I am planning a test on Lessons 2-1 to 2-9 next
Wednesday.

Religion
We will be focusing on the Rosary this month. Please
have your child bring his/her Rosary to school to share
with the class and to use during prayer. If your child
does not have a Rosary I have one he/she may
borrow.
This Thursday the Fourth Grade students will be
reading at Mass. Please join us!!
There will not be a religion test this week due to IOWA
Testing.
Science/Soc St.
Continuing investigating Thermal Energy. The
kids did a really great job on the Wiki this
weekend! Thanks for helping them!!
Social Studies: Wrapping up Chapter 7-Test
Next Tuesday; a study guide will go home this
Tuesday.
Please remember to send a snack in with your
child! It is especially important during IOWA
Testing. Plenty of rest and a good breakfast will
help test taking performance. Please make sure
your child understands that the IOWA Tests are
not a part of their grade, they are to help us
understand how to teach. They give us
information as to the kind of learner your child is.
However, it is imperative that they try their best
so that we get an accurate picture!!
