Maternal mortality rate with anemia to pregnant women. Anemia can be caused
malnutrition to pregnant mother can make complications in pregnancy, childbirth and affects
fetal growth and development in the womb. Malnutrition status based LLA <23.5 cm, which
is used to describe the risk of chronic energy deficiency (KEK).

The study was observational. Design analytical research is correlation. Research

conducted in June-July 2010 at BPS Mrs. Hj. Rumini, S. ST Nganjuk, Ngronggot District.
Independent variable is the LLA. The dependent variable is the hemoglobin concentration in
pregnant second Trimester. Second Trimester population of pregnant women with 38 samples
with simple random sampling technique based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Research
instruments used observation sheets. Data were analyzed with Pearson product moment test.

Based on statistical analysis using computer assistance with Pearson product

moment correlation test showed the p value 0.01 0.01 <0.05 so that H0 rejected and H1
accepted, meaning that there is a correlation between nutritional status of pregnant women
with anemia II at BPS Hj . Rumini, S. ST Sub Ngronggot Nganjuk Year 2010.

Nutrition status of pregnant women can be measured using LLA. KEK can cause
