I was dreaming about how much I was in love with Christian.

I loved how soft

his hair was and how soft his lips were when we kissed. Christian was
everything to me I loved him so much. Wait a minute why was I thinking about
Christian. I didn’t feel that way about Christian why would I be thinking about
him like that. Wait this isn’t me thinking this is what Lissa is thinking. When I
fall asleep it’s easy for me to slip into Lissa’s head. I look next to me and see
that mason is asleep. I put my head back onto my headrest and just let myself
fall back to sleep. This time when I woke up it was because of the plane landed.
I felt Mason start to stir beside me.
“Are we here yet” Mason asked tiredly.
“Yeah Mase were here. Come on everyone’s hoping of the plane and whoever
the last one of the plane is the loser.” I tell him.
We both quickly got up and made it out of the plane about the same time as
each other. I would have gone faster but I didn’t want to make him feel bad
because on the flight I decided that I really should have a talk with him.
“Hey Rose I just talked to Kirova and she said we can share a room together.
Isn’t that great Rose.” Lissa said happily and linked arms with me.
“Yeah Lis that is great” I told her.
Lissa and I walked to our room together and as soon as we saw it we ran to
jump on the bed. The bed was so soft and the room was so big. I could live in
here if I was allowed to. I heard a happy shriek and I looked over to see Lissa
jumping on her bed playfully.
“Rose how cool is our room.” Lissa Gushed.
“Lis this room is way cool. I can’t believe we get to spend the holidays here.” I
said then sighed.
“Rose please tell me what’s wrong. I might not be able to see inside your head
like you can for me but I know you. I can tell something is up so spill.” Lissa told
me.
“Ok Lis it’s just that when I looked around this room I felt so happy.” I said and
then stop to breathe as I felt tears in my eyes. “But then I remember the
reason why we are all here and it’s not just for a vacation. It’s because people
died Lis and I feel like people don’t care about that. Also I can’t keep it out of
my head the image of when of all the people that had died. I know I shouldn’t
be thinking or feeling this but I can’t help it.” I told her.
I felt through the bond that Lissa was sad for me and felt sorry for me as well.
“Rose its ok to feel these things. It’s only normal to feel like this since you saw
such a horrible thing.” Lissa stop and gave me a sympathetic look. “ But
everyone knows why we are here we just don’t like to think about it because
this is meant to be a happy time of year.” Lissa told me and then gave me a
hug. I hugged her back then I remembered something she said to me before I
went on the field experience.
“Lissa you said that the medication wasn’t working a few days ago.” I told her.
“Yeah I forgot we hadn’t propley talked about it yet.” Lissa replied.
“Do you think there not working for you?” I demanded.
“No it’s just that I can feel the magic but I can’t touch it and I really want to
touch it Rose. It’s horrible not being able to use my element.” I told her.
“I know Lis but this is safer for you and better for you.” I told her gently.
I could feel through the bond that Lissa was sad. She hated that she wasn’t
able to use her magic like everyone else can and also that everyone thinks she
hasn’t mastered an element yet. Then suddenly I felt a sudden change in
emotions through the bond. I felt Lissa feel really excited and interested.
“What is it Lis?” I asked her.
“You know what you need Rose to get your mind of things. We need to get you
a boyfriend.” Lissa told me happily.
“Lis I can’t I have to focus on becoming a guardian and not just any guardian
but yours Lissa.” I told her.

“Rose you got to let yourself have fun if not then you will just be unhappy all
the time. I also know for a fact that Mason likes you.” Lissa told me.
Damn it! I was hoping Lissa wouldn’t bring Mason up. I wanted to avoid this
topic as much as possible with Lissa. I have heard in her mind lately that she
wanted to set me up with Mason and that we will be a good couple. I also
knew that she would be upset with me when she found out I didn’t return the
feelings that Mason had for me which I really hate myself for. Sometimes I
wish I could make myself love him because then I could make him and Lissa
both happy which is important to me as they are two of the most important
people in my life. I sucked in a deep breath as I was about to tell Lissa how I
feel.
“Lissa I know you want me to be with Mason. But the thing is I love him as a
friend and a friend only.” I told her.
“But Rose you will be so good together. So why not just give it a shot and see if
your feelings change” She said to me.
“Lissa you can’t just make yourself love someone ok so stop.” I told her angrily.
I felt really shocked that I got angry with Lissa as I hardly ever do. I felt her
shock and hurt through the bond. I don’t k now where it came from I suddenly
felt angry like this darkness has overtaken me.
“Lissa I’m sorry it’s just that I know that I will only love Mason as a friend only
and they won’t change. If I do go out with him Lissa he will tell that I’m not
fully into the relationship like he is which only makes him feel hurt. I don’t
want to hurt him Lissa.” I told her.
“I’m sorry Rose I shouldn’t be pushing you on Mason. I don’t want to see him
hurt either but he is going to be hurt not matter what Rose. But he will feel less
hurt if you just talk to him soon.” Lissa told me gently.

After Lissa and I went up to meet the boys I learnt that Eddie and Mason were
going skiing. So we all went with them. We all went up to the high looking
mountains because we three are all really competitive. Each mountain we saw
we would go to the next until Christian had enough and snapped at us.
“You guys are really crazy.” Christian told me.
“Shut up fire boy.” I shot back knowing he hates the nickname that I gave him.
“Rose his right this mountain is really high you could get hurt.” Lissa told me in
a worried tone.
“Don’t worry Lissa it will be fine” I told her gently.
I looked down the mountain and I felt sick. This was way too high even though
it wasn’t the highest mountain this one was still pretty high. But I couldn’t back
out now as they will all think I’m weak.
“I bet I can beat both of you done the mountain” Eddie said.
“No you can’t I’m faster then you Eddie and we both know I will beat Rose
cause she’s a girl.” Mason told me.
“Oh yeah just a girl I’ll show you. Let’s do this then” I told them “Lis you and
Christian go down and tell us who wins. ” I told her.
I felt the relief through the bond when I toll Lissa that knowing she won’t have
to ski down. We all got ready and we held races until I was announced the
winner. Hah that will show them saying I’m just a girl. It was getting late know
and it was only Mason and I as everyone else went inside as it was getting cold.
We were doing tricks on the higher mountains when it was Mason’s turn.
“Look Mase come on lets call it a tie.” I told him.
“Rose you only saying that because you know I will beat you and that could
wreck your reputation as a badass.” He told me smirking knowing that will
irritate me.
“Mason that’s not it. It’s getting late and this is really dangerous ok. I was lucky
but you might not be.” I told him.
“Come on Rose just let me do this one and then we can go inside and have
something to eat.” Mason told me.
“Fine but be careful Mason” I told him then he was off.
Halfway through the third jump I saw him start to fall and then I saw his ankle
twist in a way it shouldn’t. I quickly ran to him as was the instructors. They
quickly took mason to the clinic. They said they don’t think he broke it just
twisted it and then they gave us a lecture about how dangerous it was what we
were doing. I couldn’t be bothered talking to anyone so I went into a part I
didn’t know. It was the opposite side of the entrance so this must be the back
way. I was walking slowly and not really paying attention to anything I just
wanted to get something to eat and go to sleep. Then I suddenly walked into
puff of smoke that had this weird spicy smell to it. “Great all I need” I mentally
told myself. Then I heard the person who was making this smoke speak to me.
